Safety Rules & Liability Waiver

General Safety Rules

Always carry your permit code (printed or on your phone) when using an area.
Respect the boundaries of the permitted area. Do not trespass onto adjacent land.
Leave no trace. Pack out all waste, fill any pits, and close all gates behind you.
Do not access areas under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Inform someone of your location and expected return time before entering a remote area.
Check weather conditions and dress appropriately. Finnish forests can be dangerous in winter.
Carry a fully charged mobile phone and know the Finnish emergency number: 112.

Hunting Safety

You must hold a valid Finnish hunting licence (metsästyskortti) and any required game-specific permits in addition to the WildAccess guest permit.
Always treat every firearm as if it is loaded. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.
Identify your target and what is beyond it before firing.
Wear high-visibility orange clothing when moving through hunting areas.
Comply with all Finnish Hunting Act (Metsästyslaki) regulations, including bag limits, closed seasons, and permitted methods.
Immediately report any hunting accidents to emergency services (112) and to WildAccess (info@wildaccess.fi).

Fishing Safety

Wear a life jacket when fishing from a boat or on ice.
Do not fish on ice thinner than 10 cm. Carry ice picks (jäänaskalat) in winter.
Respect fishing quotas and minimum size limits set by Finnish fishing regulations.
Return undersized fish carefully and promptly.
Comply with area-specific rules displayed on-site or listed on the area page.

Dog Forest Safety

Keep your dog(s) under control at all times.
Do not bring more dogs than specified in your booking.
Ensure your dog is up to date with vaccinations and is in good health before the session.
You are responsible for any damage caused by your dog to the area or to other animals.
Do not leave dogs unattended in the forest area.

Liability Waiver

By using WildAccess and accessing any permitted area, you acknowledge and agree that:

Outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and dog training in forests involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, accidents, equipment failure, adverse weather, and encounters with wild animals.
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with the outdoor activities you undertake through this platform.
WildAccess, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss howsoever caused during your use of any area accessed through the platform.
Area owners are independently responsible for the condition of their land. WildAccess makes no representations about the safety or suitability of any area.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you comply with all applicable Finnish laws and regulations, including hunting and fishing licences, firearms licences, and any local permits required in addition to your WildAccess permit.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WildAccess and area owners from any claims arising from your activities, including claims by third parties.

This waiver is governed by Finnish law. Nothing in this waiver limits liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
