Ice fishing experience on the ice of the Bothnian Bay
An Arctic fishing adventure in Finland's unique archipelago
About This Experience
Ice fishing experience on the ice of the Bothnian Bay
The wintry Bothnian Bay offers a unique setting for an unforgettable day of ice fishing. On MeriRaahe's guided ice fishing trip, you head out safely onto the archipelago ice under the guidance of a local guide to find the day's best fishing spots.
The journey to the fishing spots is made by snowmobile, and a heated sled makes the trip pleasant even in colder weather. The guide provides you with all the necessary equipment as well as practical guidance, so both first-timers and more experienced anglers are welcome to join.
The ice fishing waters of the Bothnian Bay can yield perch, pike and whitefish, for example. During the day you'll enjoy tasty snacks in the heart of nature, and the guide will also help with handling the catch if needed.
The trip can be combined with a stay in atmospheric fishermen's cabins in the archipelago. At the end of the day, it's nice to gather together to swap the day's best fish tales and enjoy the peace of the archipelago.
The Raahe archipelago is located just about an hour's drive from Oulu Airport, which has excellent flight connections from various parts of Finland and Europe. The destination is also perfectly suited for corporate groups, travellers and international guests.

About Us
We’re Aleksi and Jonne, the founders of WildAccess, based in Pirkanmaa, Finland. We share a passion for fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and discovering new places.
WildAccess was born from a simple observation: finding great fishing, hunting, and nature experiences isn’t always easy. Finland and the rest of the Nordic countries are home to incredible destinations and highly skilled local guides and service providers, but information is often scattered across different websites, social media platforms, and personal recommendations.
Our goal is to make these experiences easier to discover and book while helping local guides and service providers reach new customers. We’re building WildAccess to become a Nordic platform—not just a Finnish one—where people can explore and book authentic fishing, hunting, and nature experiences across the region.
We’re developing WildAccess step by step together with our service providers and community. Join us on the journey and discover new ways to experience the Nordic outdoors!
