Would you like to experience one of Finland's rarest wilderness adventures? Join a traditional seal hunting trip in the Rahe Archipelago and on the spring sea ice of the Bothnian Bay. This excursion offers the opportunity to take part in authentic seal hunting safely under the guidance of experienced local guides, surrounded by stunning archipelago scenery. In spring, grey seals move across the ice and rocky skerries, making this the best time to observe and hunt them. Every trip is different, as nature determines how the day unfolds. That is exactly what makes the experience so unique. Traditional hunting method Driftwood hide hunting is a calm and traditional way to hunt seals. During the day, you will observe seal movements, wait for the right opportunity, and enjoy the silence of the Bothnian Bay and the beauty of the springtime marine environment. A break is included during the trip with a warm meal and refreshments. If a seal is successfully harvested, we will prepare tasting samples during the excursion. Safe with experienced guides All trips are led by experienced local guides. All necessary equipment and safety gear are provided, making the experience suitable even for first-time participants. Trips are organized according to weather and ice conditions. Accommodation in the archipelago Complete your experience with an overnight stay in the historic pilot's cabin on Iso-Kraaseli, in the heart of the Bothnian Bay archipelago. Accommodation includes sauna access and a unique island atmosphere.
