About This Experience
Meri-Karvia sits on the southern Ostrobothnia coastline where freshwater rivers drain into the Gulf of Bothnia, creating a nutrient-rich feeding zone for migratory salmon and sea trout. Our 28-foot sport-fishing vessel carries up to six anglers with full downrigger and planer-board equipment. The guide targets salmon in the open sea from April onwards, switching to trolling the river mouths for sea trout in late summer. Catch-and-release encouraged for sea trout; salmon may be kept within legal limits. Hot drinks and shore lunch included.
