About This Experience
The wood pigeon (Columba palumbus, fi: kyyhkynen) has become one of Finland's most exciting driven-style targets as populations have grown dramatically over the past two decades. Our guide selects stands in advance by scouting flight routes between roost woodlands and harvested rapeseed and cereal fields. Each hunter is placed in a purpose-built hide — a solid, weatherproof structure on a flat, level platform that is fully accessible to hunters with reduced mobility or wheelchair users. A motorised path from the parking area to each hide ensures everyone can reach their position comfortably. The guide calls, decoys and manages the field, redirecting pigeons over your position. Shotguns and cartridges (28 g No. 7) are provided. The bag is divided equally; breast meat is cleaned and vacuum-packed for you to take home. Lunch and hot drinks are served at the farmhouse between drives.
