About This Experience

This advanced session is designed for anglers who already know the basics and want to push their jigging to the next level. The guide — a national jigging competition finalist — covers the full advanced toolkit: drop-shot and Ned-rig presentations for finicky fish in clear water, heavy jig heads for 15–20 m depths, braid-and-leader setups to maximise feel, and interpreting live sonar (Garmin LiveScope) to track individual fish in real time and adjust your presentation accordingly. You choose your lake: Saimaa (Europe's fourth-largest lake, famous for its massive zander population), Näsijärvi (the classic tournament zander venue near Tampere) or Päijänne (the deepest lake in Finland, holding trophy perch to 2+ kg). The guide's boat is a tournament-rigged 6-metre bass boat with a low casting deck and electric motor for quiet positioning. The deck is flat and unobstructed; a folding fishing chair is provided, and the boat can be rigged with a transfer board and extra rail for participants with limited mobility. All lures and fishing licences included. Lunch break on the lakeshore.
