About This Experience
Southern Ostrobothnia is prime elk country: vast grain fields border managed spruce forests, creating a patchwork habitat that holds one of Finland's densest moose populations. The Lapua hunting club has refined their drive technique over generations — large silent drivers push elk gently towards elevated stands where rifles wait. Guest hunters are fully integrated into the drive, assigned prime stand positions and guided by an English-speaking team leader. The season opens in October; typical shooting days run from first light to early afternoon. Licences for the day's hunt are pre-arranged. Field dressing and carcass handling included in the guide fee.
