About This Experience
You will be picked up in Jyväskylä and driven to the national park, where we will go over the basics of canoeing before embarking on a four-hour paddling trip into the park.
Along the way, we will enjoy the scenery, keep our eyes open for wildlife and simply take in the beauty and tranquillity of Finnish nature.

During the trip, we will stop to enjoy a Finnish-style lunch in the national park, surrounded by the lakes, islands and peaceful nature of Etelä-Konnevesi.

I trained as a certified Wilderness Guide through the International Wilderness Guide program in 2019 and have worked as a guide in Finland ever since.
Over the years, I have led kayak and canoe trips across Finland and worked for six years as a snowmobile guide at a four-star hotel in Lapland. Since moving to Central Finland, where my wife is from, I have also become a passionate and dedicated hunter.
Before beginning my career as a guide, I studied Anthropology and Politics and worked as a chef and bartender. This diverse background has shaped the way I work with people and the importance I place on thoughtful service, good food and genuine hospitality.
I believe that a memorable outdoor experience is about more than the activity itself. My goal is to offer every guest a high standard of hospitality and personal customer service — qualities that I feel are too often overlooked in the outdoor industry.
