This two-day fishing trip combines versatile lake and river fishing with good food, sauna and a comfortable stay in a historic vicarage setting.

The group is divided into two smaller groups, which fish at different locations on the first day. On the second day, the groups switch fishing locations, allowing everyone to experience both fishing environments.

Day 1 – lake and river fishing

8:00–9:30 – Breakfast
10:00 – Departure for fishing

Group 1: Casting on Lake Ähtärinjärvi

The main target species are pike and zander. Fishing lasts approximately 6 hours, including a roughly one-hour packed lunch break.

Group 2: River fishing at Ohrakoski

The target species is rainbow trout. River fishing also lasts approximately 6 hours, including a roughly one-hour lunch break.

17:00 – Return
20:00–22:00 – Sauna

In the evening, a delicious fish dinner is prepared from the day's catch on the grill, followed by a relaxed evening together.

Day 2 – the groups switch locations

8:00–9:30 – Breakfast
9:30 – Check-out
10:00 – Departure for fishing

The groups switch fishing locations. Those who fished the lake on the first day head to the rapids, while the river anglers head to Lake Ähtärinjärvi.

The rest of the programme remains the same:

• approximately 6 hours of fishing
• approximately one-hour packed lunch break
• fishing ends at approximately 17:00

After the fishing day, everyone gathers once more at Vanha Pappila Hetki for coffee. This is a chance to go over the highlights, feedback and memorable moments from the trip together.

Option for an additional night

An additional night can be arranged separately with Vanha Pappila Hetki. A double room with breakfast costs approximately €130 / room.
